We can ALL make our soil better! This is both simple and not easy, at the same time. YOU need soil and the microbes in the soil to be healthy (yes, documented by research), and have peace of mind. The soil needs YOU to stay healthy. Soil is a BIG win-win-win, as healthy soil holds water, reducing the impact of both drought and forest fires. Keeping water reduces the air temperature, so it directly helps mitigate climate warming. think of it - ONE action has cascading effects on our minds. our health, our water, our safety, our sense of well-being. You can't lose, if you take care of your soil!

This focus on the living underground ecosystem of bacteria, fungi, nematodes, protozoa and other microorganisms is what makes the Soil Food Web Approach really work. While conventional agriculture often centers on soil chemistry and constantly adding inputs to the system, our approach is about restoring nature’s operating system, so that nutrients get cycled and plants are able to defend themselves against pests and diseases, because they are well nourished by the rest of the ecosystem.

The Soil Food Web is a school. They train folks to build soil. They also offer career training if you’d like to build soil in the agriculture industry. Scroll up on the video page to see the school offerings.

A series of videos with explanations, very worthwhile! https://promo.soilfoodweb.com/oct22-consultant-va/?#how-it-works
